Circular Replay is a partner in the European project LIFE WEEELOOP, an innovative initiative that aims to transform the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) through the recovery and reuse of kitchen hob components.

Our contribution focuses on the development of advanced digital solutions, such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP), and the traceability of recovered materials through CRIA, an artificial intelligence system that uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to identify, classify, and document key components during the disassembly process. This tool ensures the digital tracking and certification of materials, enabling their reintegration into new production cycles.

Through the use of AI, optimized recovery processes, and cross-sector collaboration, the project promotes a scalable and replicable circular economy model.

LIFE WEEELOOP is co-funded by the European Union’s LIFE Programme (LIFE23/ENV/ES/LIFE-WEEELOOP) and brings together a consortium of companies and organizations committed to sustainability and innovation in the home appliance value chain.
